With a good write up and all of the nicknack parts to make it work, you can do it in 3-5 hours on average.
Parts are around $400 and labor is about $400... seems like a crazy cheap alternative. Factory type reliability is nice.
Thomas is right. Sam tunes very safe. It could probably make 580+ if he wanted to lean on it.

There's the calc I was looking for... I put 10.00 in Greg's tune. Right now we're still on winter blend - that'll keep him "safe" on what's at the pumps now. His trims should take care of the rest, and PE is moderately set for 12.0:1 (relative to E0) or .817 Lambda. Greg - Get that thing running, log your trims, and then send me the info. I'd really like to see a pull on the highway with your current tune and 93octane, to see what your injector duty % is at. You dont want to lean out in the upper revs, since you'll be commanding ~25-30% more fuel out of those LS9 injectors.
You may not have enough pump for the E85 after looking at some of my older logs when I was on the stock pump and LS9 injectors....
