Thread: Transmission Cooler Parts Ordered!

    Looked at it again... actually the majority of the cooler is in airflow line because of the foglight grill. Isn't close enough to the radiator to have the fan really pulling air through it, but at speed should immediately drop. Refill and testing my fittings here in a bit.


    Whose dumbass idea was it to put the washer reservoir there?

    And I do wish I had ordered 90deg fittings for the an lines at the cooler.

    Oh well, as long as it works, I'm good.

    Part numbers for the quick connect adapters?
    Yes for us larger guys that screw can be a pain!

    08 G8 GT, IOM, Rotofab, HSRK, Kooks LTs, track pipes, Custom engine covers, catch can, radiator cover, and tranny tunnel brace. 402hp/396tq - not bad for a bolt -on car.
    8.43 1/8th; 2.01 60' - no skillz.

    I have mine sitting right behind the passenger side kidney grill and there's no problem with air flow there thats for sure.

    Depending on how strong it is, standoff the fan shroud or brackets off the frame. Not sure yet just an idea right now

    What are "normal" non cooler trans temps? Fully warmed up?

    I would think normal would be in the range of 90-100C maybe 80-100C. I can tell you this the trans goes to limp mode once it hits around 240F.
