I wonder if I drive a car that was made by the old GM, and a part failure causes an accident, god forbid anyone gets hurt fyi, I can use the same issue aka, I am sorry, you cant sue me, this issue actually was caused by the old GM.

Interesting, they need to call the President of the United States as a whitness. Remember, the TV statement by the PREZ. All GM warranties will have the full faith backing of the Federal Government. This is exactly what I threatened to do over the damn transmission. file under the lemon Law and bring in the Prez. Yep this is my last GM.
But in reading the story, it would appear that this applies to 2007 and 2008 models. So all the 2008 G8 owners are screwed but not the 2009? And what about the extended warranties that people bought through GM? And BTW, when I bought my car it was through GMAC, and now it is ALLY. Guess, I could say I owe nothing as GMAC is no longer in business.
When this gets out, the resale value of the "Old" GM cars will plummet. No one will trust GM again, and you cannot blame them. Bye Bye GM!!!

GM is GM is GM. It doesn't matter if it is 2011 or 1999. The car was built by GM period. The old compnay vs. new should have no bearing.
