Default Rear brembos with HSV rotors

Here are photos of my rear Camaro SS caliper and HSV rotors. I got the calipers from Greg Was and rotors came from DBA and are used on the HSV versions of the VE Commodore. No brackets are needed and the stock rear Camaro caliper bolts fit fine. The stock e-brake shoe works fine. These rotors are 350 mm dia so they are smaller than the Camaro SS rear rotors (365 mm) but bigger than the stock rear GT rotor (324 mm). I used Hawk HPS pads (I replaced front and rear). The only mods required were trimmimng the rear dust shield and trimmimg off about .12" (3mm) of the top of the pad material. These rotors are NOT something that Crazy Paul should be bothered with. PLEASE do not start sending e-mails. He can't help on this one! The cost of shipping them in is too high. DBA suggests that if anybody is interested that they talk with a DBA reseller and have them do a special order for you. The base model is 2031 I think, verify with DBA. I know you can get slotted or drilled/slotted. I THINk you can get plain, too. I suggest MD Speed.

Trimmed pads. Wear a mask when trimming!!

DBA 42031 = plain for either side
    DBA 42031SL = slotted left
    DBA 42031SR = slotted right

Nice! Caliper clearance doesn't appear to be an issue at all.

Thanks Paul. I think my rotors are DBA 42031XS (drilled and slotted)

Correct. If your wheels clear the front Brembos, the rears should be no problem.

Those look great! I'm trying to decide which route to take for the rear conversion. How much did you have to pay for the rotors with shipping and how long did it take? I know the price on DBA web site but not shipping. Thanks Jerry

When I got mine it took about 6-8 weeks because they put them on a boat with their normal shipment. I was in no hurry and it gave me time to get the calipers and paint them. Once they got here and in their warehouse I paid normal domestic shipping. I forget the amount but something like $45, give or take. don't forget, these rotors are 350 mm, not 365 like the camaro. the front rotors, BTW, are 355 mm. also, you will need to trim away a little pad material to keep the pads from overhanging the rotor a little. i took away about .12" (3mm) and cut it with a cutting disk on my dremmel.

The slotted rotors come in black. The drilled and slotted are gold. Not sure about the plain ones. I painted my gold ones black to match the black 5000XS series rotors i use up front.

Thanks for the help. Did you chamfer the end or grind away what was needed? Also what paint did you use for the calipers? I've seen paint kits for $35. Thanks again

The edge that gets cut is square so i cut it square also. I used duplicolor engine paint and clearcoat.
