    Default Acura NSX vs G8

    Cruising late one night in southern Mexico. Started slowing for a light about 1/2 mile ahead, no one else on the road anywhere, except an exotic really low cool looking car pulled on the soft shoulder talking on the phone. I went by like 30 mph staring at it, that's when I saw it was an Acura NSX. I continued on towards the light when in my mirror the NSX aggressively enters the highway and heads straight for the lane next to me. He rolls down the window wanting to talk. He asked what I had and how fast it was. I told him. He said his was a 2005 NSX stock had 290 hp, his was tuned etc had about 340 hp and really wide tires, "runs low 12's and will do 186". The super witty me replied, "really" and the light was getting ready to turn. Enough benchracing time to walk the walk. I dropped her into S turned everything off and opened the windows(though it was 17 degrees out-I like to hear the race) He began revving up, it really started to sound mean and throaty. I slowly edged her up to 1200 holding the brake and when the light turned I rolled into it with a perfect hole-shot. I heard all kinds of shit going on next to me and bang- I heard a giant screech when it hit 2nd gear, must have like 4.30 gears or something. Just as mine bangs perfectly into 2nd, there is a screaming half-pint at my door, just as it gets in front of me, it was either shift or by the sound of it-blow up. He shifted, fell back to my rear door and I went into 3rd, again the nasty high rpm scream at my door and another shift and another fall back to my rear door. Just before I went into 4th he let off and faded back blinking his lights. Refreshing no ricer flyby! We slowed towards a light, again he rolls down the window and asks if I have "juice"? I thought what is this, Acura's version of Grey Poupon? He yells again, Nitrous? I say, "no, all aluminum Corvette V8 and a driver mod." He says "what?" And I drive away.

    Nice! I think I've seen that car recently in the area because a) you don't see too many NSX's on the road anymore and b) I remember the wide tires that almost looked out of place on an NSX.

    Lol at the driver mod reference. Must be fun killing an exotic. Must suck having an exotic and getting run down by a 2 ton sedan.

    Funny thing is the roof came to like my door. When I was talking to him I could hear him but could not bend down enough to see the guy. Seemed about a 50 yr old guy, who shifts like granny Smith right at red line.

    I guarantee he's writing on his boards that you had to be running juice. It's always some excuse as to why they were beaten by a 4 door grocery gitr
