Trans Dipstick install - Lokar 36" 6l80e

I finally got around to installing this. The extra length allowed it to be routed neatly and cleanly, far from the headers. Greg@paceperformance.com supplied it at a great price and had it to me very fast.

To address the previous concern about it coming out, I made a custom bracket (pictured) to hold it in. after routing of the tube I used an existing bolt to mount the top/handle. It took about an hour of actual work not including waiting for paint to dry on the bracket. I'm Happy with it.

Thank sguys, It took a bit if persuasion to route the tube, but the nice thing is it can be routed like a hose and you just have to avoid sharp 90* bends. It is long enough to be mounted in several locations under the hood. I just mounted it in a way that would not have required custom bracket because I used an existing bolt. You could easily make one and with hardware store parts. I may still relocate it if need be. BTW, The tranny is already full and fluid looks good!
