To all that have these dipsticks a word of caution. My transmission needs to be replaced as there is water in it!! This dipstick is the only way water could have gotten in an otherwise sealed system. It is NOT coolant from the cooler. No where in the instructions does it say to use silicone to seal the tube where it goes into the transmission. The little O ring at the end of the tube doesn't quite cut it either.

That is what the diagnosis is from GMC where my car is right now with all of my transmission issues.

If you have one seal it up so rain water can't run down the tube a slowly leak into your trans too. It is a $3500.00 repair to replace a trans and torque converter.

    Ouch. That hurts.
Thank you for posting the warning. Unfortunately we risk a lot every time we add a mod. Sometimes they end up doing more damage than helping. (Ex. Unnamed OTR air intake that took in water) but with the help of you guys on here, we can limit the amount of people affected and hopefully push for a revised product if necessary.
I'm sure no one intentionally engineers a product to do damage, it's just unfortunate that not everything is as good as it seems.
Hope you get your trans fixed right the first time and have better luck in the future with any mods.
