Default Need help finding power for my new gauges (HSV triple gauge pod)

    Thanks for reading...

I recently picked up an HSV triple pod and all the necessary trim pieces. I have installed everything but I have not hooked up any of the gauges. My questions is: where is the best place to get power for these gauges? They are electronic full sweep gauges, and I have all the senders and all that and know where to hook that stuff up, but I don't know the best place to get power. Since these are aftermarket, there is no harness that I can plug and play.

The gauges have a Red, white, and black. I know the red is power, and the black is ground, but the white one...is that for dimmer or something? Sorry for the relatively simple questions, but I am not very electrically inclined beyond on/off. Can I tap the cigarette lighter wires?

    any help is appreciated!

    thanks

    Default gauge power

Go to an auto parts store that has the Little Fuse add a circuit and tap of of a fuse that turns off and on with the ignition. i went with 3 aeroforce interceptors and went right off of the OBDII port that has the power and gives the gauges info directly from the computer. Love the gauges and they can read everything CAN off the computer. Greatest flexability. The HSV tripple guage pod rocks and Todd at Aeroforce is excellent to work with and ships quickly.

    Louie,

People wont be able to give you the proper answers until we know which gauges you have and which senders you have.
Post up some links or part numbers or pics at least.
