    Default My new 3.27 pumpkin is installed

    It took me and a friend...2 hours to install it. He works at a oil change shop and we had a lift. I'm friends with the owner also...so it didn't run me much$

    No..you don't have to remove the exhaust like the repair manual said.

    It feels better on the butt dyno.....4th gear pulls hard.

    I'm still waiting on the flash cables from vector...to set the speedometer,and get the new lower tq management % tune.

    Also installed the pedders diff bushings...

    1.698 60' 11.946@113.66 BEST 60'....1.650
    ENGINE....ls3 block,mahle pistons,forged rods,cloyes timing chain/tensioner,stock crank,clevite bearings,arp bolts through out.
    VALVETRAINl92 heads(821casting) with lightweight exhaust valves/stainless intake valves,patriot gold dual springs/titanium locks/retainers,230/240 .595/.605 cam
    EXHAUSTkooks mid length headers,no cats,magnaflow mip-pipe/resonators,no rear mufflers.
    MISC..3.27 gears,spohn trailing arms,VMR V710'S....245/45-18 FRONT,275/40-18 REAR. CIRCLE D 3K


    for now....'95 mystic teal ta,slightly built lt1,cam,headers,intake, tb,every suspension mod,c5 brakes,lowered,3.90 gears,corbeau seats,6-point cage,ZR1 rims.

    this thing comes pre-filled with plugs in the axles holes....not bad..

    When do you plan on 1/4 mile testing ? What was the cost from them to your door. I'm really looking forward to see the performance gained by this change.

    I may not get back to the track this year....I work weekends. If the track is still open around christmas...I can go.

    Somewhere there was a post about the "Effective Gear Ratio" with respect to our tranny gearing. I think it was in the range of 4.56:1 or so through third gear. This was to offset the lazy 2.92:1 rear gear GM installs in these diffs. What would that be with your 3.27:1?

    I'd guess about 5.11...
    '09 SBM G8 GT - GT7 (Sport and Premium packages w/ Sunroof), Lovells Eliminator Super Low Combo, Pedders Street 1, BMR sways...

    This same trans AND 3.27s will be in the GXP with the L99 and auto.

    Will the tranny have the same gearing as the current GT with the 292's?
