i just ordered some 25W 3000ks from Spencers even though theyre a lot $$$. They are supposed to be true 25W bulbs so well see if it works. I use my fogs alot, everytime the lights auto on.

Just to update this, I've been running my Spencers HIDs (35W 5000K lows, 25W 3000K fogs) for a couple weeks now, in very high temperatures down here which wouldn't help, giving the fogs quite a few long duration test runs, and have absolutely zero melting whatsoever. Not even a hint.
Summary: Spencers 25W HID fogs = absolutely no chance of melting.

^ +1 . I have run mine this summer for 1 1/2 hrs and no melting. I'm running yellow fogs.

I'm gonna 'third' this. I've had the Spencers 25W HID fogs since early this year. No melting, no issues. I even had a problem that the fog light color was slightly off from my 4500k 35w HID lowbeams and I simply emailed Spencer and he sent me 5k fog bulbs to replace the 4300/4500k (cant remember which) fogs I had. Of course I had to give a deposit for the bulbs which in the end I decided to just hold onto them since for me to ship the bulbs back to Alaska would have cost me more than it was worth to get my deposit back.
Looks like I need to order spencers kit and new fogs.

My 3000k fogs with 25w ballasts are melting. Are there better housings?
Maybe... Were there always a pin hole above the bulb about an inch in the housing?
