Start the car while holding the left button on the wheel.

Hold down the left side scroll wheel on the steering wheel and turn on the power to the car while holding the wheel down.

I took a road trip this weekend, so I went to Engineering mode to monitor the active fuel management and throttle postion. I hit the button on the wheel that normally scrolls through the DIC, and it kicked me back into the regular DIC. I don't understand why they have it programmed to allow you to go from Engineering mode to DIC mode, but not the other way around without turning the car off and starting it with the scroll wheel depressed.

They should have either made it able to go either way, or just stay within the mode it is currently in until the car is restarted.

Since I got my dashhawk I pretty much never use engineering mode. The only time I really need it is to check oil life.

I still need to hook my dash hawk up and see it work...

I made this sticky and moved it to electronics. This is a good question and one that should be readily available for answer.

    Thanks,
    Chris

What does this engineering mode do? I don't remember reading about this in the owners manual. Or maybe I'm just really out of it lately.
