Default The Camaro center section is a direct bolt in for the G8

Not sure if anyone has covered this yet but I bolted a 2010 Camaro center section into the G8 cradle I have in my shop today. Fits perfect

The Camaro center section is a direct bolt in for the G8.
It bolts up perfect, same width and also uses the same inner stubs.
So all you would have to do is find a Camaro center section and bolt it in.

So, this means if you get your hands on a Camaro center section you'll be able to get gears. Lots of other cool stuff coming out soon for it.
Gears are a bit high now but I've been talking with a major gear supplier and they are making gears right now that will be cheaper then the Richmonds.

The diff in the pic is out of a 2010 Camaro SS, the cradle is from a G8.

The G8 axles will work. The Camaro and G8 inner stubs are the same.
I'll have to measure both housings to see if the G8 driveshaft will work.

    Thanks

Well that's what I get for listening to third hand info...

I priced some Camaro diffs from various salvage yards. $900ish plus shipping was the average price.

The good thing, since most people seem to want them, is that the stick cars come with 3.45s, the autos are 3.27s.

But wont the Camaro diff have the same "wear-out" issues that the G8's have? The different gear wont make it any better will it? Maybe this is way off, but just curious?

There have been broken Camaro axles and it wouldn't shock me if the clutches wore out also.

The aftermarket will be huge for the Camaro, keep that in mind.

Brand new Camaro fully loaded housings
$1050.00 plus freight. GM has them available for shipment.

I checked shipping for one customer in TX and it was $50.00 so that would give everyone and idea.
