Get two J bends, cut a hole in the pipe before the muffler and weld them in.
I happen to have a box of SS mandrel bent J bends.
...and not that Magnaflow 404 crap.
    Rest in Peace Charlie!

I'm wondering if it's important for the j-bend to be in the pipe before the muffler as opposed to being in the body of the muffler like Rick Crawford's? A 90 degree J bend is easier to fit than a 180.

Personally I think the GXP mufflers on a gt with headers sound like shit. It is very raspy. I prefer more of the flowmaster sound myself.

Patrick: Looking forward to seeing what you come up with. What did your car dyno now with the headers?

This is what I was wondering too. That's why I asked. I didn't know if you were cutting into the muffler or not.

I think the reason he added the tube to the muff was that with that muffler, you didn't have to worry about packing material.

I only used before the muffler as an example since most designs were already that way.
It will be a couple months before I can get the shop completed and testing a different design.
