Default $250 to clean up rim rash?!?

WOW just got an estimate from a local wheel place for $250 big ones to clean up a curbed 19" stock wheel. OUCH!

Anyone have a stock 19" wheel they would like to part with? Might as well ask before I pay for a fix.

Dang for $250 you might be able to get another 19" wheel on the forum and keep the rashed one as a spare....

I guess if you had a wheel that had been discontinued, and it was either fix it or buy a new set of something else. That is a bit crazy though.

Can you post a picture of the rash? I have an awesome wheel refinisher at the dealership, and most repairs range from 100- 150 dollars. Recently had a set of black coated wheels completely redone for 100 a wheel.

My local rim repair guy charges $90.00 a rim to repair whatever it needs. Road rash is the simplest that can be done.

Based on the thread title I was thinking that sounded about right for a rim rash prescription.
