But....I have a few questions before I pull the trigger and start ordering parts.

    1. My goal after I put the CAI, headers and exhaust on is to increase my HP an additional 40 HP. Is that a reasonable expectation?
    2. Will there be much change in the sound in adding the long tube headers as opposed to stock manifolds like they talked on this same thread? Like some other folks, I want a sleeper car. I know I can expect some additional noise but I really don't want a loud car.
    3. Will these pipes be able to handle a tune increase so I can come close to 425HP after all is completed?

What I am thinking, I can have all of this done, pacesetter headers ($500) X cross exhaust ($200) and tune for ($200) for less than a grand?!?!?

If so, I'm all in! Any and all comments are really appreciated. Thanks!
American Racing headers in 1 7/8" size will give you an honest 34rwhp gain. Tuning will give you 16rwhp. That's 50 rwhp with the best headers and the best tuning. I would think that Pacesetter headers, a homemade X-pipe and a run of the mill tune would net you 40 rwhp. I hope you understand that a $200 tune is probably not going to pay for dyno time with a wideband O2 sensor unless you have a serious hookup!

Will the removal of these two pup cats cause emissions to fail in states like CA and VA?

They may not notice if you leave the two main cats in place since the 2009 did not come with the pups.

It all depends on how much care your exhaust installer uses. If he is sloppy and lets it hang too low then you may have to space it for clearance

Any ideas where the best placement would be, further up/towards rear... trying to get rid of the drone between 1600-1900 that came along when I installed the slp powerflo axlebacks.

^If you mean the mid muffler/X-pipe, put it as far forward as possible.

My X was put in pretty much exactly where the Mid-muffler was. Added some pipe behind to connect to the resonators.
