    Default Vector Custom Tune!

well, got the powerflash cable yesterday, read my ECM (don't need to read the TCM as I have a manual, right?) and sent it to Vector. Now I'm hoping I have a nice email waiting for me when I get home. Now all I need to do is fix my pizza cutter wheel situation. Going to purchase four HSV GTS wheels, two 20x8 for the front and two 20x9.5 for the rear(haven't heard back from the seller on the latter, just a little hint if you're reading this...). I'll probably go with 255 up front, but throw some meat on the rears. Haven't figured out how wide I can go with the GTS wheels on there. Anyone have any idea? That'll keep me from "driving in place". I'm thinking of getting them powdercoated as well. Gloss black maybe? Like on some of the photos of the HSV's with stripes crazy paul posted up recently. Spoke with a powdercoater and it'd be $100 a piece to coat.

Anyone know what the turnaround time is on the new ECM file
file? I do understand the level of involvement in the tune, it's just that I have no patience, a character flaw magnified by an injury, or at least that's my excuse.

Damn, it was worth the wait. definitely a lot easier to chirp the tires. Not like it was all that hard before, but now I have to consciously try to NOT chirp the tires, if you know what I mean.

I'll cry a little if you powder the GTS rims.

Well, I may have to have two of them refinished, or all of them re-coated to match as two have an odd finish from what I understand.

Hyper black. It think it is very close to the "black ice" or something like that, color available on the originals.
