Default Kind of sad how quiet this Forum has become

I guess I am just an "old fart" who has a hard time letting go of nostalgia now. I used to check grrrr8.net daily, and the G8 GXP Forum was extremely active. I used it as a great way to obtain, but also to share, important G8 GXP information. It kind of saddens me to see how quiet it has become. I still try to check in a few times per month, just to see if I have gotten any messages regarding a G8 GXP, but it doesn't happen much anymore. Thank you to all those involved with organizing and maintaining this great website. It contains a wealth of important information that I hope will not be lost with time.

G8s are 13 years old now. And since not many were made, the forums have slowed down just as the "new" things about them have.

The SS forums have slowed down a little bit now too, as the car is anywhere from 7 to 4 years old, and those have been explored as well.

Even when G8's were new/two/three years old, seeing one on the road was rare here (in NH). I think I saw TWO in 2020. Mine has been sleeping on the top bunk of the 4-post lift since fall '19 (so nobody has seen mine on the road).

Luckily, those low production numbers also translate into fewer "clapped out" G8's.

    Still a nice car.

There is still some of the old gang on this board. I can honestly say I leave myself logged onto this forum. I still check in. This site helped me make new friends and help me solve difficult issues with my G8. I love the brotherhood we have as G8 owners and past owners. Thanks to Charlie sending me an invite 11 years ago.

I cannot believe my G8 is 12 years old this year. I still get excited when I see one around my parts.

I check in regularly, but not nearly as frequently as I used to.

Local FB pages seemed to have replace the forums, unfortunately.

I always found a wealth of info on forums as databases for reference. I am still on one that has been around for over 20 years. Insane. I feel old
