Default My name is matt, and I have a problem

I just purchased my G8 yesterday. I knew from past "hot rodding" experience that the first things I want to do are, tune, exhaust, and converter.
I'm working nights which apparently is not a good thing for my wallet. I get more overtime, but spend too much. Probably would never have looked for a G8 had I not had these idle hours.
So tonight checking the facebook g8 pages im on, I notice someone posted there was only 2 sets of OBX headers left, and previously there was a long wait. Not really having the extra money, I knew I wanted some. Checked ebay, and they are down to one set.
Logged on to my trusty amazon prime account, and........ a set is headed my way.
Now for the rest of exhaust.

I had planned OBX to SOLO, but as Im getting older, I have decided some things are in fact "too loud" I guess Ill roll with the headers and factory mufflers for a bit, but open to yalls opinions of some good sounding not so loud mufflers.
Future plans involve a cam when I DOD delete the engine.

Welcome. Modding addiction is a problem facing many people these days. Unfortunately the only known cure is to buy a Prius.

Most people seem to gravitate towards the GXP mufflers. Will be hard to find and a bit pricey but they sound great with headers. I love solo but if taming it down is what you want, it's not the exhaust for you.

    Welcome!
Headers and GXP mufflers are a great combo.

Unfortunately, a Prius has some pretty severe side effects. It causes low testosterone which leads to lethargy, weight gain, and low sex drive.

Welcome Matt. Admitting that you have a G8 problem is the first step, and it is good that you recognize and accept that you do. Unfortunately, there is no cure, no recovery. And we are just a bunch of co-dependent enablers.

Dang. Had to ride in two of 'em last week. Didn't even supply paper bags to put over our heads
