Default Help with making a buying decision

    All,

I'm looking to buy a set of Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials. I was thinking of the 3730R.

The reason for this size tire is because I have a set of 18in rims that I use in the winter that I thought I could just slap on these tires for the strip. I currently have the 19in stock summer tires on and was wondering if the overall diameter of 25.8 of these tires would hurt anything like shift points and other stuff. Or maybe I should go to a larger width MT tire and get different rims for the strip, which would add more cost. Ultimately my goal is to get in the 12 sec range with my car, and after running a few test runs with my new DashBoss tool it show me around 13 sec flat. What should I expect to see in ET savings with these tires verses my stock summer tires if any.

    thanks

3730R is for a 14" rim. The 3782R works well on stock 18" rims (265/40R18)

    Rotohack 102 intake - 102 MAF - TPIS 102 TB - TVS1900 ported & plated w 8 rib 2.5" front + OD rear
PnP Interchiller - RCR ported heads - RCR Lunati 219/231 113+1 - Forged Bottom End
    ARH 2" LT headers - Solo 3" CB - MT DRs + M&H FRs on Weld RT-S
    CTS-V fuel w Vaporworx - FAST 85s - Alkycontrol meth M15 + M10 - RCR tune

Your right, was thinking of 3780R. My winter rims are after market 18x8.0 rims so is this my best option? The 265/40R18 would be nice but i think the size of the rim is two small.

Both me and toomanyhobbies are running that tire on an 8" wide wheel with no issues, but it's your call...

Whatever you can save on the 60'. maybe 1-2 tenths.
Yes for us larger guys that screw can be a pain!

08 G8 GT, IOM, Rotofab, HSRK, Kooks LTs, track pipes, Custom engine covers, catch can, radiator cover, and tranny tunnel brace. 402hp/396tq - not bad for a bolt -on car.
