I am pretty sure I just found something really nice that everyone was looking for. I always wanted to remove my chrome moldings but know its a pain in the ass because the clips break. They look really nice in black so what I uncovered is that clips are available but not for G8 nor for the SS but for a Caprice HA HA. Hear are the part #s they are cheap compared to the coast of new moldings. The front doors are the same for both cars but the back doors are different but I don't think the design of the clips would change

The front door clips are in the G8 catalog.

I think your rear door clips should be

Greg I checked different gm parts on line places and non of them have these clips listed for G8 they just selling the whole molding .
Greg so the part # for the rear will work on G8 ?

could there maybe be a package deal setup for some trim parts? Just curious as all the ones on the PAX side of my car are shot as is the bit around the windshield.

would love to replace them all at an effective price?

surely others have the same issue with their 6-7 year old car

Are we talking clips for the upper trim or the lower door trim? Everything I got from Crazy Paul says you can't get clips for the door trim.

My parts catalog says upper, but it could be wrong. I guess we will know once Roman gets the clips if he ordered them.

We're talking about clips for the 4x straight pieces just below the windows.
I've checked in the past and there never used to be parts available for these 4 straight strips.
The part numbers found above will be to suit stock "chrome" straight trim strips.
I'd not be surprised if the same style of clips to suit factory black straight trim strips have a different set of part numbers.

I don't think it makes any difference. The clips are not visible when they are on the car
