O2 sensors
When is a good time to replace the front O2 sensor, and how do you know when they are going or getting lazy. I have 120,000+ on the original. Starting to get lower mpg and slight loss of responsiveness. Nearly everything has been changed that could effect milage, plugs filters oil all fluids etc etc

I would put more thought into the injectors and oil/carbon in the intake and heads. A BG injector service runs less than $200. The best thing is to do a compression test.

What is the name of the scan....what do I look for. I have a PLX device. What do I look for? Last year when putting on rockers the heads were extremely clean, I have a catch can, when I v cleaned the intake it too was really clean, void of carbon sludge and oil. The maf and HSRK and air cleaner were cruddy. But all cleaned up nicely. The air filter was mainly filled with sand and bugs.

any scan tool that has the ability to read direct reading from the O2 sensors - can give you an indication of how they are responding.
but for the money - and time.
perhaps you should just get a set and see. I don't think they are expensive (40-50 each) and perhaps get to and replace them. I'm thinking about replacing mine and I have 127 on the clock.

Hmmm....question, I thought I only had two one upstream and one downstream. Looking up prices I see Denso, walker and Bosch, Between 24 and 144. Lists upstream left and right. Downer am listed as 100 bucks more. Confused
