Do Chevy SS floor mats fit the G8???

I'm in need of a new front driver's side floor mat in my GXP. The bottom of the mat has started to basically fall apart. I came across the mats linked below while searching around. They're GM accessory mats for the Chevy SS and I think they look pretty nice. So my question is, has anyone fit SS floor mats into their G8? Do they fit?

They look pretty similar but i cant confirm fitment. I ended up getting weathertech floor mats and would never go back to anything else.

That seems to be my problem. I can't find a definite answer on whether or not they'll fit. I found one post on the SS forum from a member using his old G8 weather tech mats in his new SS and he said that the back mats fit perfect, but the front mounting points were a little off. I was hoping to get a couple more people to confirm if they fit or not before I drop $100+ on new mats.

I'm down in TX so the weather is pretty mild down here. I don't really need weather tech mats as my interior doesn't really get that dirty. I'm just tired of having to clean up these little pieces of material off the back of the mat that keep falling off.

Don't really need bad weather to get the weather techs.
The protection they offer is well worth it.
One of those things where you truly get what you pay for.

The factory SS mats do not fit the G8. I did a test fit per CP's request back in 2014.

The floor design is slightly different in the dead pedal area and the retaining clips.

I only checked the drivers mat. It was close I didn't think it was close enough to say they would work, and I wouldn't use them in my car.

Greg, have you by chance checked to see if the Caprice floor mats fit in a G8?

It's possible that the floor mats for 2011-2013 Chevy Caprice are an exact fit for the G8.
