Lower panel mod, ram air mod
Ok so im gonna post my lower panel ram air mod. I have the Volant cai setup that uses an intake scoop that goes right below the headlight. but in that scoop is a 3.75" hole to add a hose (see pic below). what i did was use some silicone elbows and an alum turbo 3" pipe. I cant really take any detailed pics cause its all up in there tight. This isnt the only air its getting so its not gonna be sucking up water - its just adding additional cold air to the filter.

The only things I can say is paint the edge of the tube or cut some rubber hose and push it over the edge to clean up the look. Also, if it's not the only place getting air, then it's not a ram air mod unless the other place is also facing forward into the incoming air.
Looks good!

The original lower panel mod was a blocking panel that attached to the frame to keep engine compartment air from getting to the intake. Yours probably won't have that issue, but it's worth thinking about.
Here's a pic of what I had.
The panel against the wall is what I made to keep the hot air out.
Along with opening up the grill and drilling some holes in the bottom panel below the intake to drain water and let more air in, it worked pretty good. Not true ram effect, but it got more cold air in.
Use the photobucket embed fix to view the pics, sorry on behalf of photobucket.
