    Default Another which muffler thread...

OK I've had the SLP LM II's as mufflers with a universal X-pipe for the last year and a half or so but I'm getting kind of tired of listening to it all the time. On top of that, I have longtubes with no cats in the garage waiting to go on. It will really sound nasty then, but I have a feeling its going to be too much.

Now to the question, which muffler? I want something that is a flow through design, but not too loud with longtubes and no cats. I've been looking at some of the Borla and Corsa universal mufflers, does anyone have any opinions of them? Thanks

All I can say is my car was obnoxiously loud in your proposed configuration, with my blower anyways.

I have custom made Borla axlebacks and I love the sound of them. Everything else is still stock. Here's a video of my car.

I would say replace the X-pipe with an X-pipe muffler and keep your SLP's.

Hmm I hadn't thought about that... Who makes them besides Magnaflow?

If you're looking for axle backs that are a little more chill, I recommend SLP PowerFlo's or Magnaflows.

Dynomax also makes the Ultra Flo X muffler with internal x-pipe.

Thanks a lot. It looks like I'll be doing a crossover mid-muffler.
