$50,000 GXP for sale on autotrader
I saw on autotrader.com that there is a used black GXP for sale at Ron Smith Buick in Merced, CA for $50,000. It has almost 30,000 miles on it and no mods. I emailed the dealership asking if the price was correct and they responded that $50,000 is the correct price. What the hell are they thinking?

I e-mailed them just over a year ago when they had $45K as the price. They told me that they don't mind keeping her on the showroom floor because it draws in customers and they used to be a Pontiac dealership (nostalgic value or some crap...) They also insisted that they didn't care if it didn't sell soon since someday, someone would pay their asking price. It looks like that asking price has gone up...

Yeah, just a bit much. Everyone keeps predicting that GXPs will one day be worth a pretty penny, but as much as I love mine, I'm not entirely convinced. Either way, we're not yet at the point where their value curve is trending back up. Right now, as the cars age, their prices do fall; though not as much as most cars in their class, to be fair.
