Default Fellow G8 Owner Need Help In Atlanta

So here is what happened. I'm here in Atlanta on business. This morning driving in downtown stopped at a red light, light turns green, I look left right left and turn left, as I start to turn militant pedestrian enters the cross walk. I wasn't going fast, I braked hard and came to a stop. Guy yells at me, hands in the air blah blah blah, then does the, "no you go thing," while I sit there. So I go...

...and the ass hat punches or kicks the rental car as I go by. I don't think anything of it, until tonight when I discover the driver side rear fender is caved in.

I'm 99% sure a hair dryer and some dry ice will make this go away; however I am sans hair dryer, garage to work in, etc. etc. to do this as I'm in a hotel room. I'm staying in Lithonia - I leave on Friday. Can anyone help a fellow G8 owner out? At the end of the day my corporate AX card will cover it; I would rather just find someone with a PDR puller or willing to let me use their garage with some dry ice to pop the sucker out.

You can PM me if you can help a fellow owner out. You'll have my eternal gratitude - and a round of drinks of the same corporate AX card!

Instead of dry ice, you can use a can of compressed CO2, or a can of compressed air upside down to freeze it after heated up.

PERFECT! Now just need to solve for hair dryer. Best of all I can write off the compressed CO2 as office supplies.

Your hotel room doesn't have a hair dryer? Most rooms I've stayed at have a hair dryer in the bathroom.

Yes it does - with a three foot cord. I don't think the Hilton is going to approve of me driving a Saab 93 through the lobby up to the second floor so it can reach the hair dryer. ;-)

I'm going to see if I can beg wtih facilities to get an extension cord and access to a power outlet when I get back tonight. It is Atlanta and a black car, I'm going to try without the hair dryer first - hopefully its hot out enough that I don't need to warm it up.

I know that karma will take care of Mr. Militant Pedstrian.

So I got some compressed CO2 and sprayed it on the sun baked sheet metal. It took maybe 20% to 30% of the dent out, that's it. I was like ACK!!! So I pulled the interior cover off on the driver side again in the trunk. Unfortunately there is a ton of electronics there (Saab 93) very similar to the G8 without the battery placement. CRAP. But I did find a spot where I could stick a pen through. With just a little light push from the cap side, POP, about 80% of the dent is gone.

I'm going to repeat tomorrow, and I need to find something here at the hotel that is about 2X as long as a pen, but about as round/thick. I would say that will get rid of 95% of it leaving nothing more than a dime sized door ding looking mark - figure the rental agency will let that slide.

Tried a sink plunger - because of the angle on the sheet metal it couldn't seal up enough.

Stopped at a body shop, within five minutes they got a hand behind the mounted fuse box and massaged 95% of it out - all that remains is a door ding sized dent - figure the rental agency won't give a crap about that.
