Remote won't lock or unlock on my 2004 Chevy Colorado
Hi all
My 2004 Z71 2 wheel crew cab Chevy Colorado which has 399,400 miles on it and the key fob does not lock or unlock the power locks. It makes the noise but nothing happens.
It seems that little things are going wrong with normal stuff since it has low mileage on it LMFAO.
Any suggestions?

I have 19,000 on my 2010 Canyon and mine still work.LOL Is it both doors or just the drivers door? Do they lock and unlock with the door switch?

No the door switch does not lock them either.
It makes sound when you lock and hit unlock but does nothing.
the drivers power window does not go down either.
I checked all the fuses and they are all good.

It sounds like you are going to have to take the panel off to see what's going on. See if you can move things by hand. It's not hard. If you need to replace them the window motors are cheap but the door lock actuator are a little pricey.

if they are making noise , then the actuators are bad and need to be replaced
fun, plus the radiator has a slow leak I just noticed nothing bad but gets wet on the bottom and the suspension rubber is bad in the torsion bar. Just needs some tlc

I took the door panel off and took the switch unit apart and I lost one of the white pins that push to the circuit board but I took one from the back Window and it did not work and then the windows went down and would not go up. Fuck! I unplugged the connector to the window a few times and tapped on it a few times with a screw driver and then connected the harness again and then I got the window to go up. YAY!
I tried it again and it went down but I did not want to chance it so I put it back up and got it all put back together. All the other windows work so I'm thinking it could be the window motor but I need one of those white pins in the switch mechanism

Update, the drivers window goes up and down like a raped ape. Not sure what I did but I think a few hits on the motor worked but the lock switch is gone, im sure that is why the key fob does not unlock the doors
