I have a scan log of Doug at the dragstrip runing a 11.57 @122. I compared the log against the run with the new setup and this is what it look like....

    42-120mph 8.081 sec. Fayetteville dragstrip

42-120mph 7.550 sec. back-roads holding the steering wheel with the grip of death....

    Picked up over a 1/2 sec or .531sec. !!!

This is just with a ruff tune with too much fuel in it....very impressive...

Every pump is different. Blue-Meyhem's pump wouldn't hold up on his with a stock cam....so you just have to drive, tune, and judge it from there. If the fuel pump lays over hot, then you need a pump. Brains would be ok cold but after a few hard drive it would lay over and would fall on its face above 5000rpm.

Very nice! But I think one should upgrade to a LS7 MAF w/4" and get the porting done first, whether it be the throttle body or throttle body and manifold. Then see where you are with boost and pulley it from there. I may be dropping down to a 3.1 pulley to get the boost a little more realistic. It may be ok with short bursts here-and-there but a road course....?

So, the 3.3 with cog will create more boost then the 3.1, correct?

Roots blower by Magnacharger 469 hp 498 torque on Mustang dyno 12 lbs of boost
Should be over 500 rwhp with cog drive, now 12 lbs of boost, no dyno or track time since od cog drive
    After Maggie 11.86 @ 115.33 w/1.74 60 ft (best 60ft 1.63.) (Nov. 6, 2010) Temp 60, DA 1158

    20x8.5 and 20x9.5 Lorenzo Black Wl032 wheels Sumitomo Htr 3's 255-35 and 275-35's
Eibach prokit with Lovell strut/shocks, Ctsv/Camaro Brakes
The above Dyno numbers were after the sale to born2fly (awsome)
New Ride is 82 malibu wagon with 6.0 ly6 and ported l92 heads, comp cam, holley hi ram intake, hedman headers, 4l60 w/3000 stall and more

No a 3.3 with a rear cog will be less boost.. The smaller the pulley is in the front will turn the blower faster which makes more boost. Doug was running a 2.8 front pulley with a overdriven cog. That's why Rick is going to a 3.1 pulley to lower the boost to about 10-11ish psi.

Picked up a little over 4+psi. It is a monster.....
I am surprise to be able to push it with still running the stock pump. 60 lb injectors were at 88%....Going to have to try a 3.1 pulley....

Very nice Rick... Tame that Beast!!!

Yeah that should work... You can just give Rick the money for it if that works for you... I'm going to chance my exhaust to a full 3" pretty soon and I'll need him to weld it up so It will all work out. I sure hope your fuel pump keeps hanging in there.

Update...I got the boost down to 13.3-5 without changing the pulley. I had adjusted the bypass throttle blade set-screw since the blade was open a bit much for my taste, so I adjusted it back. IATs are a little better and still pulls like a beast!
