HSRK Install

I got my HSRK yesterday and had it on in about ten minutes. Ray sold me his NEP CAI and had it all setup. No problems.

BTW - Vector did ship the grommet although I did not need it.

I am looking into the CAI mod and saw the deals on the OPG kit. I assume the HSRK would install at the filter collar? Couldnt tell from the posts. Any input on cable lenght or other issues? From the photos I saw looks like the filter would be pretty far away from the factory location.

The cable is long enough. Some have it in the filter, but the collar is the popular place for location.

Sorry to bring this post up from the dead but if I mount the HSRK sensor as shown by Charlie, do I need a grommet or not?

That is where I placed mine, and I needed the grommet to insure that it remained in place.

VMS provides a grommet. Does anyone know if it will work for the G8/Rotofab application?

did you see the pics above? That is a RotoFab. And yes it will work unless you mess it up...

I put mine under the rubber strip and then unscrewed the rotofab filter. Then I just slipped her in and retightened the filter. no drilling what so ever. I used the inexpensive casper one. It worked better than the rest I had. Not mentioning names.
