There is no brighter side to what has happened, but you are a much improved driver for having attended this event. What you have learned may someday save your and your family's lives.

This is awful to see and hear about! Sorry about the car. But glad you are ok. I see this happen every once in a while when I am at the track. I have had a couple check my pants moments. Mostly from other drivers spinning in front of me and coming very close to hitting. Always the rookies with high horsepower cars trying to impress. I lost a sepentine belt once in a Viper ACR at Mid ohio and had a very life flashing moment trying to get that thing under control coming into the corner. Hope you can keep it from getting under your skin too much. Good luck on your car search. I think Id rather have a 6m GXP than a CTSV. Seems everyone is running those now at track days.

Saddened when i heard the news. You have not bought a replacement car yet, so there is still hope of you getting back into a holden. I feel like the last time we spoke I had you almost convinced. Hell you were even sending me for sale ads in the autotrader.

Regardless, I hope you stick around, and i hope we can still get together and gawk about cars. The few times that we have met were a pleasure.

I've totaled a car at a track far from home. It sucks now, but you were doing something very few people get to experience. While your wallet might come out a little lighter, you didnt get injured or injure anyone else. But your brain gets to remember one of the best things you could experience in life and it will only make the rest of your life better.

Remember that, move on..... and in later in your life after the money hit wears off, you'll know it was worth it.
