Custom gauges arrived today. I installed them in the pod and they look great.

I'm currently working on a custom mount for my Aeroforce gauge to mount in the "ash tray" behind the "smoker's package" door. That way it can hide and not deter for the factory look of the custom gauges up top but still provide its useful info when needed.

The NOS adapter for the fuel pressure gauge arrived yesterday. Does anyone have experience removing a schrader valve from a fuel line? I don't think I've ever had to do it . The Denali and Saab's (don't have the G8 yet) seem set in fairly deep. Is there a special tool I need to buy?

Spencer's HIDs should arrive by this weekend.

Hopefully the car will come out of storage Friday night. I have a long weekend of "car stuff" to get working on.

    Can't wait!

    :-)

I do like it! My eye is on these, totally. I had one in my old GTP and loved it.

I think probably the only change I would make is to hit it with matte black paint instead of gloss black. That way there's less glare and it looks closer to stock. The molding itself is awesome, though.

Yup, the camera flash isn't helping either. I'm gonna try a more flat color.

    Default Finally

I had a productive day today....

I finally got the GXP out of storage yesterday and brought it home this morning.

I was able to accomplish the following:

    1. "Spencer's" 4300K HIDs installed for both headlights and fogs. I even drove about 60 miles and so far haven't seen any melting.
    2. Crazy Paul's triple gauge package installed with custom gauges. (fuel pressure, wide band, and boost)
    3. Smoker's package also installed (including rear). Although I had to fab up a cable to power / light it.
    4. Custom mount completed for my Aeroforce Gauge mounted in the ash tray. Door is allowed to close to cover it up if needed.

I still need to find a good vacuum source because I'd like the gauge to function until I get the supercharger (may not be until next Spring).

Next up is a trip to Livernois for header / O2 bung install. The controller has been wired and run to the engine compartment. I just need to plug in the sensor.

Loooong day. I'll attach pictures soon if anyone cares to see them.

    Thanks for reading!

Got the car back from Livernois on Friday. I could be a little happier with the numbers. Final (for now - ha) numbers are about 398rwhp/390tq. They are supposed to send me the graphs tomorrow. I'll post them up. I was hoping to get in the 405-410 area. I haven't really driven the car much (just on the way home) because it has been raining in Michigan all weekend. When they did the final pull it was ~83 degrees out with 80%+ humidity. I'm sure that didn't help me much.

I'll post pictures of my gauges, etc soon.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I had my reasons for staying with the shorties. I can live with my decision. You're right. The LT's may have given me a few more ponies and pushed over 400.
