Thread: With my mods, which gear ratio should I go with? 3.27 or 3.45

    I cant stay in 3rd thru the traps either.. with 2.92...

    Mine always shifts before the traps also. I tried holding 3rd once but didnt work. Maybe I was too slow.

    I shift into 4th. I tried holding 3rd but ran slower trap speeds and lower ETs.
    2014 Harley Davidson Street Bob-Vance and Hines Short Shot staggered.

    2013 F150 Ecoboost- Loaded and stock.

    Using a stock converter, 3.45's, and a 100shot, I cut 1.68-1.70 60fts. With our 4.08 first gear and 2.92's, it is like running a 4.56 gear with a th350 so you really only need a stall. The only other option if your making big power is 3.45-3.70's and a stall then launch it in second.

    With a 3200 converter, 2.92s and a stock motor, I can cut 1.71-1.72 60fts with a dodgy diff.



    I wouldn't recommend launching in 2nd.
