27k plus taxes and license on Memorial Day. 2009 w/premium package
I paid $25,800 plus TTL in June for a 2009.5 GT w/sunroof, premium, and sport packages. Love that GM Credit Card discount.
$21,600, 9,000 miles cloth with sunroof. Had to go 500 miles because we wanted orange and this one was several thou less than those closer.
Got 5yr used car warranty not that it does me much good now with the mods.
08 IOM GT 20x8.5 20x10 Breytons GTS, 1 7/8 Kooks, 3'' custom exhaust with side exit and cutouts all ceramic coated. 3600 Yank, 3.90 gears. Pedders XAs and bushings, custom rear lower control arms, full length frame connectors, bottom painted hot rod black with IOM suspension. 125 wet plate nitrous, 175 direct port with dedicated fuel system, FAST LSX intake, Meziere electric water pump. All lines converted to Hard SS or black braided. Vararam, remote oil filter, billet valve and coil covers, aluminum and carbon fiber engine panels custom stereo with eclipse amps and 12'' sub in custom box, billet alum/carbon fiber/plexiglass trunk floor. GTS fenders, Evolution nose and hood with custom scoop
Started but not done: custom paint, custom interior with 4 GTS style seats.
Not the fastest but close enough for Rock and Roll.
Ok...so I'm picking up my Magnetic Gray 2009 G8-GT (Build date: 7/08...2009.1, correct?) With Premium & Sunroof (no Sport) for $22.5K with 10,600 miles....good deal?
It seems like pickings are getting slimmer as I have been looking for a 2009 with a minimum of premium/roof for a decent price for about 6 weeks. I had hoped for a the Sport package...but realized that is all essentially bolt on accessories that could be added later if desired...the Premium & sunroof are not so made those mandatory on my list. While it wasn't my first choice of color, I don't mind it since it has the important options and the price seemed decent. Besides...as my brother-in-law mentioned, maybe the cops won't notice it as much as the white & red I had my eye on. LOL

2009 GT, Stryker Blue, Premium Package (leather seats, etc), 130 miles.
$28,500 but $26,500 after using $500 mail coupon and $1,500 in GM points.
The catch is that I live in New Hampshire and the car was in Ohio so I flew out and drove 13 hours home and now it is at 1,000 miles. I would've gotten one closer except all the local GT's are black and cost $35,000+
30K out the door driving away with every thing but sunroof.
GTO spares and jack kit 200 OBO
rear 17x9.5 rims 200 OBO
A mere song 'n a dance, but finding the red seat inserts was tough
Lots of detail (cosmetic) work. Plenty of compliments. Complete clear mask - including headlights, fogs and rear bumper under the trunk. Layered Zaino car polish for exterior and seats, etc. Red/Onyx shifter, Lloyd custom mats, Flowmaster mufflers, K&N replacement air filter. California does have its mod limitations...
For an 09.5 GT, premium package, sport package, and sunroof (everything I wanted minus the onyx/red leather seats) I paid 28 even. Also got the dealership to take 500 over blue book for my GTP. The 28 was before trade.
2009.5 Liquid Red G8 GT
Sadly...the seller and I had to walk away from our deal due to "irreconcilable differences" mainly regarding form of payment last night with the 2009 Magnetic Gray G8-GT...dang. (Among other thigns I wasn't willing and am not able to fly around with $22.5 in cash...TSA is very uptight about that sort of thing.)Very sad Thing that was nice is it was only 600 miles away and a quick free flight. So, back to the drawing board.
(If anyone is interested, it is on the craigslist in Sacremento...asking price is $24K but he will take $22.5K but he thumped a curb with the front bumper overhang which was professionally fixed and does not show up on CarFax.)
BUT...luckily I was watching another one. It is not a 2009 but it is shiny Liquid Red 2008 with Premium/Sport/Sunroof, one owner and 15,000 miles; sadly it is 1200 miles away. Price? $21K OTD SWEET!!! (I take care of my own taxes and licensing.) I fly out to get it next Tuesday afternoon. Yes while it's a small amount more miles than I like, a bit further away than I wish, 2008 vs a 2009...but the package and color was what I was looking for and the price seems right and I compromised nothing accept the year. Besides in a month that will all be forgotten and I will be cruising in my shiny Red G8-GT.
Now...I'm just praying for good dry roads for the trip home.
