thanks for the reply and the info.. better to ask around first and learn from others. over the years I've owned my G8 I've got answers here I can't find anywhere else since these cars are uncommon. Read somewhere else that 95% didn't notice a difference in the ride of the car. i was concerned being poly the car could ride harsh. thanks again

how much did you pay for struts? Mine has such low miles and last month I test drove a C7 Stingray. On one hand I hate to give up my G8 but I've always wanted a Corvette. I can't make up my mind I want both but there is no way that can happen.
aren't these like a hybrid material?

PPVs are like $250 a set from Amazon when I got mine a couple months ago. Fe3 are a bit more.
For what its worth my G8 had less than 10,000 miles when I changed the bushings and struts. The struts had nothing wrong with them but they were underdamped from the start and let the car wallow at speed. I had a set of Pedders GSR struts and springs I put on. About 30% stiffer spring rate and more dampening. Its a good set-up with a firmer ride but still reasonable on the highway. The factory rubber bushings already had a 1/4" gap and the nubs on top were almost worn off. As the OP said the SuperPro bushings seemed to lock right into the ridges in the inner fender. A much better design with a metal bearing holder. They do transmit a bit more of the ripple type pavement roughness into the driveline but it is not unbearable at all. And on the topic of C7 vettes my next door neighbor has one and while it is a great sports car I am with you and would want both. I could not give up my sports sedan that travels with 5 people and 2 (small)dogs comfortably for a car that holds 2 people. But that's just me.
