We've had a few questions on the installation of our covers, so I will clarify. For each side, we supply 2 GM studs with a socket ball on top. They screw into existing and unused tapped holes in the valve cover. Once these are tightened in place they stay there permanently. If you look at one of the above pictures showing the bottom side of our covers you will see the round rubber pieces that snaps onto the ball socket of the stud.
Once the studs have been installed and tightened with a 10mm socket, the covers snap on and off without the use of tools. That's why the instructions call for a 10mm socket even though no tools are required to go off and on with the covers. The studs are a one time install and tighten.
