How stupid are we when we burn food to make fuel. Prices of everything are going to go sky high and the world will start on fire becasue of the high prices of grains and we will be blamed. what next chop up people and turn them into fuel, I would say yes to the ass wipes in D.C. and start with them and see how fast things turn.

Were did we go wrong, i guess California and the freaks there want zero emmissions but then how will all the electric cars get their electricity from? the sun or Coal or Natural Gas. Amazing how no one in the Goverment can stand up and say Fuck No we are not turning our food supply in to fuel. Lets drill for our OIL and Natural Gas and tell the rest of the OPEC Goons this.

Thanks for the posting Ray ..nice to know.

Its mandatory in CT for E10. You do not get a choice ..All gas pumps have it and now if approved ..they are considering making it mandatory for 15% .. A friend of mine owns a Mobil service station ..he even said if they make it 15% most of the people driving in CT are FKD.

When I fill up out of state without the 10% My car drives smoother and the gas mileage increases quite a bit.

I guess everything I own that has a motor will eventually be useless if this gets shoved down our throats. Knowing this government I'm sure it will.

Even if your state moves to E15, they will still be mandated to sell E10. Does your state label the pumps? I'm going to guess that all states will need to label their pumps now.
My snow thrower, lawn tractor and lawn vac all say not to use fuel with anything higher than 10% alcohol content.

    Ray,
CT does label their pumps .. I think that's a requirement/law for the stations to provide. I have a fairly new lawn tractor and other yard equipment that also says not to use anything higher than the 10% content also.
I know for sure that E10 will always be required until they decide on the E15. I'm keeping my fingers crossed we will not see the E15

My motorcycles both say not to use anything with higher than 10% and one of them HATES ethanol so much that I have to use Starbrite's Startron fuel additive in it. My bikes, like our boat have an open fuel system unlike a newer car which is closed. I have a HELL of a time keeping the water out of the fuel. My Yamaha Vmax is the worst. Startron fixed my problem 100%.

So...where is the truth coming from? The American Coalition for Ethanol wrote in a blog i n a response to a Wall Street Journal piece about the declining stock piles of corn in the US. Approx 33% of corn grown in the US now goes to Ethanol production. However, they say there is plenty of corn.
    Here is that blog. http://www.ethanol.typepad.com/
Now, the USDA is reporting a 15 year low in corn stock piles.
Here is an article covering that side. http://www.cattlenetwork.com/cattle-...-.html?ref=064
    Where is the truth though?
As we all know ethanol is subsidized by the US Gov. Why are we exporting ethanol?
