I think it has a lot to do with region too. Here in the mountain west, STI's and WRX's are ridiculously common and I can't think of any time I've seen one really douching it up. I can't even think of any time anyone other than a friend has tried to race me here.

Bringing up the dead here but thought I'd share my .02. I couldn't agree more about most of the WRX/STI crowd which is why I opted for a 05 Legacy GT thinking that group would be better, I was wrong. I've always got along with everyone on all the forums I've been apart of and became great friends with a lot of them but I have never met a bigger group of a$$ hat, fart can loving d-bags than I did on the Subaru forums.
