I hope to get my hands on one soon. If I do I will do a write up on the install process.

I have completed my install,Lots of work replaced every part of the factory sound system. The G8 designs kit works really well. Instructions are complete and invaluable Steve spent a lot of time making sure that every detail is in place as far as what parts and pieces come out and what clips and screws are holding them in place. I used the 6.5 Memphis audio PR speakers in the doors,Memphis PR tweeters in the dash, A pair of Memphis PR 6x9s with 1" spacers in place of the factory subs. Pioneer avh 4500 head unit alpine MRX-V70 5 channel amp and a Kicker 12" comp R sub in the trunk. Haven't had a lot of time to get it dialed in but am looking forward to it,at this point I haven't built my sub enclosure and am using a small box that I had laying around for the kicker 12, the new box will be tons better than what I am using now. More detail later after I work all the bugs out.

looks pretty expensive to me.. $275 for the dash kit? + $375 for the hvac controls? + the double din radio (around $500-600) + the module for the steering controls... all said on done you are well over $1300..

    Gotta pay to play.

With that said, I am happy with the factory stuff. My exhaust is sexy loud so the radio is a second option.

Money will spent on going faster.

It is worth the money in my opinion, Its matter of time before the stock stuff goes bad. Besides the money goes to some pretty ingenious G8 owners and everything is made in America.

I had the Folcik system installed with a double-din unit earlier this year in my G8. Works really well and my installer said the parts are definitely high quality and the instructions make it a snap.
