I am not totally sold on the idea of making a complicated trans even more complicated... but if it is going to happen, it might as well happen in the usa to a usa plant..... too many times we have shipped work like this overseas or to mexico.... so all is good!!! More jobs for Ohio is good....

When I moved away from Youngstown in 02 during the housing boom in the rest of the USA. I got one offer on my house after being on the market for over 6 months so I took the loss and ran to a warmer climate. They need the jobs to help pay the ridiculous taxes so I guess it is a good thing. (We don't even have to file state, city, county, and school district tax forms here) Saves my wife and I over 10k in taxes to not live in the rust belt and freeze 6 months out of the year. Good new. Oh and from a design standpoint. CVT's loose so much when built to handle more than 200 hp, that more gears is a much easier answer.
The 8sp IIRC is a dual shaft design.
