Any other color is illegal....but no color (as in no bulb light) may be legal?

I think it's DOT regs that if you don't have amber lenses you need to have amber bulbs. The turn signals (in the front at least) have to be amber.


Of course I could be all wrong, but this is what I remember hearing from my days of the W-Body.

if was put on the car from the factory,it must remain in working condition or its illegal.
I just put on the smoked decals to darken it,but my cars black so it blends in.
If i get pulled over,it wont be for that!
