120 may be a bit difficult, but on the stock 19s you may see it do to wheel spin.

Awesome looking FAST intake! That does look really good.

I couldn't help but notice your cammed 1/4 mile time is w/o headers......

First install was not difficult, but a bit annoying. I spent about 3 hours installing the intake. First you have to drill out the hole for the MAP sensor. 15/64" for our sensor. Then they put the tapped hole on the wrong side. So if you wanted to bolt it down like it should be the sensor connector would face the driver side. It still worked out with it facing the passenger side, but the bolt holding it down it just putting pressure against the plastic housing.................

What do you shift at? I shift at about 6800-6900 RPM. What gear do you finish in? I'm able to finish in 3rd, but I have my limiter at 7200 rpm and I'm hitting it through the traps. What are your splits on your run? 330ft 5.377 - 1/8 8.093/90.65mph - 1000ft 10.421

My guess is you have a low shift point. These cars have a pretty flat power band after about 5600-5700 rpm, that's where you want to stay as much as possible. My car made 390 RWHP, but from 5500-6800 it is making 380RWHP or better. If you shift low, you can make up the MPH pretty easily, but you lose all kinds of time, esp if your 1-2 shift is low.

MoMorg, I think I would be shifting your car at 65-6600. and let it shift 4th. You are not making any power at 7200 especially if your only making 390rwhp. I cant see a car making 390 hp at 6900 rpms, considering I am making 470 at 6600. There is no sense in kicking the rods out of it going to 7200+ rpms when it isnt making it any faster. Put some DRs on it and get the trans tune correct and you will have a much better idea of how fast it is.

Average HP is the key. 3-4 shift slows the car down, but that's why I'm putting 3.70s in the car. This will be a better effective gear through the traps. 4.47 in 3rd with 2.92 vs 4.26 in 4th with 3.70s. This will lower my finish line rpm by about 400-500 rpm. For now with the 2.92s I'd rather not take up the time shifting and dropping the car down to 5000rpm. 3.70s will change everything.

I'm not that interested in running sticky tires yet... I plan on running 11s on stock rubber first. Once that is done I'll visit the 11.50 barrier with some tires.

Now I just need my headers.

And if I do hit 120mph it will be with an 11 sec timeslip

It has been proven once a G8 is more then slightly modded they are faster shifting into 4th gear. You could be in the 11s right now with a 1.75 60fter.

Remember that 2 G8s ran 12 teens on completely stock motors shifting into 4th gear with 2.92 gears. I am not questioning you or your car, just trying to save you some abuse and time.

Well I guess we will all have to wait and see. Give me a week or so. Big difference between racing with DRs and racing with stock rubber.

I may just bite the bullet and put the converter and rear-end in tomorrow. I don't think I'll have the headers in time for TnT on Wednesday.

Never understood this. When I was tuned to go into 4th back awhile ago, I went a tenth slower then when I kept it in 3rd. I tried both on the same day.

Almost half of that was gained by the 1/8th mile which is indicated in your 60fter etc. You are not in 4th gear at the 1/8th, but getting close to shifting around the 1000ft mark. I would be looking at trans tune shift points for each gear and optimizing them.

What are your cam specs? Impressive time on stock rubber without headers.
