Of course they're worried about the driveline.....I'm worried about it at over 400HP.

I think they should just run it as is. Would definitely test the limits of the tranny and driveline. I mean they had to run it that hard to get those dyno numbers. Just make one good pass down the 1/4 with some radials and see what you get. Might set a G8 record.

Running a car on the dyno is NOWHERE near as abusive as taking it down the 1/4 mile. Especially when they made those numbers on a Dynojet of which most don't have loads cells. Much more load and shock put on the drivetrain when it is pulling the cars weight down the track and also with the transmission shifting.
If the drivetrain held together for a pass or two that car would easily set some records with proper trac prep, tires, and driver especially this time of year where the DA is dropping almost daily in most places. However, it would probably not hold together long if the rest of the drivetrain is stock. There are some built 6L80's pushing 700+ at the wheels in lighter cars and still holding together pretty well as of now. They just have to be pushed a little more to see where the breaking point is. This next year should get real interesting with these cars. I am willing to bet we see some easily and reliably eclipse 10's no problem by middle next summer.

I might be another... We will see how the move to Mississippi affects things. Still up in the air whether I want to get a new TIG machine and use the rest to build the custom TT or just be lazy and buy the APS system. I will be much busier with many other things once I get down to MS so I will have to determine what my schedule will allow once I get down there and settled in.

I won't be. Once I get into the 11's, I'll say mission accomplished. Too much money and work to have the car stay stable/intact after that. Maybe even that's pushing it.

What's with the tags "hackjobs" and "scammers"? Don't be immature.
