That price is for the Koni yellows, front and rear. SoloPerformance didn't have any of the G8 part numbers showing up on the site. Of the places I could find them, IRT was the least expensive.

Yes, 1506 is correct, not 1406.
That's weird, I couldn't find them yesterday. Even on Koni's website I couldn't buy the fronts, only the rears, today they are both available for purchase.
$750.00 shipped for all four from Solo.
Koni's site listed the wrong P/N for the front (said 1406sport) for a while... maybe they just fixed it.
Yesterday depending on how I arrived at the G8 page on Koni's site it listed either the 1406 or the 1506 but neither had the button to buy it. I just assume it is internet strangeness.
I have been reading more about the Koni yellows today and not really sure it is the path I want to go down. It sounds like even at the softest setting they are likely to be a bit more harsh than OEM. Sounds like the car would perform better at the expense of some comfort. I am beginning to lean towards a GXP conversion.
GXP will be rougher than GT, too. You won't find extra performance without the rougher ride. The only way to do that is to get adaptive shocks like Koni FSD (don't exist for our cars) or other special active shocks. I don't know HOW MUCH rougher GXP suspension rides, but...
If you want better handling but not much worse comfort then try upgrading your sway bars instead... For even more awesome handling, do both.
In a nut shell, I would like the car to have a more controlled ride. More like a german sport sedan. Stiff without being harsh, comfortable without being squishy. Is that extra performance or a better ride? The stock GT is pretty good but if I am being picky it can be better. Unfortunately our options for these cars are limited. The GXP components being listed as "progressive" for both the shocks and springs leads me to believe they might be more along the lines of what I want. I don't want go-kart stiff, I have my auto-x mustang for that. I don't want three way adjustable coil overs for my DD.
Initially I thought if the Koni yellows were comparable to stock in the middle of their adjustment range I could dial them in to what I want. It sounds more like they might be slightly stiffer than stock at the softest setting and only get stiffer from there.

It only makes sense that the Koni's are close to stock at the softest setting. WTF would you do with a strut softer than stock?

Try the minimalist approach then, I would highly recommend radius rod bushings...I did them back to back with no other mods and it helped front end feel A LOT. I would also highly recommend the rear sub frame inserts. I also did the diff bushings at the same time, wish I couldve done them seperate but no sense in doing the labor twice...but I do have a SLIGHT diff whine above 75 mph. Cant tell you which bushing made the biggest difference but if you were pressed to do one I would opt for the sub frame bushings. Next would be a toss up between gxp struts or sway bars. I would personally go for the gxp struts...unless you didnt mind extra money for the Koni's. I think that is the bare minimum to tighten up the car. I did a lot more then that but the ride kicks my butt on crapped out ny roads and sometimes I wish I skipped some pieces.
Its funny because at first I loved the g8 gt's ride and then driving it everyday I got bored, now Ive turned it into something that rides like my track prepped evo and I start to wonder how I couldve piece mealed it together cheaper and softer but gotten 75% of the results.
