    I may eventually add meth for its cooling and cleaning properties. And of course pick up some safe power. For now, I'm relying on bap till I buy the squash pump.

    As to the op, I'm not too much of an expert when it comes to timing and meth. Rick Crawford will be the one to ask.

    Have you considered running a higher concentration of methanol... The Livernois guys and their EcoBoost engines are spraying 100% Methanol thru a single #10 nozzle (10GPH). Granted that engine is only 3.5 L and a twin turbo, the overall spray is higher per liter.

    The key to your timing is going to be your A/F ratio. I always tried to keep my EB Flex to about .82 Lambda or less which means an A/F ratio of 12 to one or less under WOT. I assume you are tuning with a Wide Band and are logging MAF, Knock, A/F, your manifold Charge Temp and how it changes over a normal WOT run. The cooler the charge, the less knock retard you will see. Also, spraying Methanol should allow you to raise boost. It's not just timing advance, but a combination of many things to get you the most power. With my Flex, I knocked off a 1/2 second off my ET and gained 5 mph when spraying 75% methanol.

    100% is the way to go. I could run 14* more timing on meth + 93 vs 93 only. That much isn't really necessary for a street application though.

    Just got home from work and have to say I didn't expect to have so many replies so fast. lol. I want to keep atleast a 50/50 mix becuase of the cooling properties of the water. I have the knock sensors set at the stock setting and still no knock. I have an activation light and low level light but I can't figure out how to set it up to pull timing if the meth runs out. I was tuned at 21* on 91 at 8psi before the meth and no knock, my AFR is set at 11.75 WOT. The great thing about the meth is my fuel is only spraying enough to get the afr to 12.5 and the meth spraying take it down to 11.75.

    I am gonna try and hit up the track again this weekend and then I can add more spark and see how it goes.

    I hope to add meth this winter and I'll see if I can run that kind of timing.

    Roots blower by Magnacharger 469 hp 498 torque on Mustang dyno 12 lbs of boost
    Should be over 500 rwhp with cog drive, now 12 lbs of boost, no dyno or track time since od cog drive
    After Maggie 11.86 @ 115.33 w/1.74 60 ft (best 60ft 1.63.) (Nov. 6, 2010) Temp 60, DA 1158

    See if you can look at an old log before the methanol at what your IAT was. If you are getting a 20 degree IAT drop, then pull 10 degress at the higher IAT for no water/methanol. For the meth injection setup I did, I used straight methanol. Doesn't cool as much but I can pick up the power with less timing. We ran about the same as you with 16-17 degrees at 9-10 psi running 11.50's at 124. Was easier to keep the tune closer incase of a methanol failure. Only need to pull 4 degrees vs 10-12.

    ^^^^^^ I was gonna say the same thing. Or just don't go in boost when the low level light is on. I just can't justify spraying water through a TB, through an intake, through heads, and into the combustion chamber. Just can't....... To each their own.....
