Terrific write-up, very detailed and great pics.

When I installed my Volant I fiddled around the with new breather hose and thought that it was too long, so naturally I trimmed just a bit too much off and now the engine cover pinches it a little. Does your engine cover pinch the breather hose? I imagine that I could find a replacement 3/8" hose at an auto store in case I want to re-do that.

Also, I thought the breather hose was a little loose where it attached to the intake tube. Did you need a clamp for that?

I think the Torx screw for removing the factory air box was a T-27, if I remember correctly.

No clamp for the engine connection on the breather hose. But I do plan to check it at the end of the week to make sure it didn't slip/flex off.

We had to work on routing the house a few times to get it right so the engine cover didn't pinch it. It is a very tight fit under there. My kit came with the longer hose (newer kit) of 21 inches, which seems just about right. I did push the hose basically all the way to the base of the nipple on the Volant provided air intake tube.

    Thanks on the torx!

I need to take pics of the clear acrylic cover I had made for my Volant and post.
