google search this. There is a large history of problems with this system and some work arounds if you want. I read one place were people had by passed it with resistors at sensor ends and so forth to get the light off. Lot of the pumps fail as well and are not cheap to buy.

I was over joyed when we bought our 2010 Tahoe as it did not have this system on it. Z71 package deletes it I guess.

It has been my understanding that these systems are not very well sealed and corrosion gets the best of them.

Have you heard the pump running all the time prior to this happening? If not maybe you will get lucky and just have link issue.

If the pump has been runnign all the time then the unit might have burned itself up trying to beon all the time which is common. A lot of people just ignore it until the light comes on and it quits running.

What kind of scanner can read and clear these codes? Dashhawk and HPTuners tried and failed. What can do it besides a tech2?

Tech2 is the best but there are other ones but not the type of scanner the general public would use (due to cost). OTC scanners I think can read some of the body function systems but are often limited to what they can see compared to the GM scanner.

Then general aftermarket scanners in some cases are built more for drivability issues and ABS/airbag than body control issues so it might be a thinner crowd as every vehicle line has some many different systems running and it is a lot to make a one generic scanner to cover them all.

I have an OTC scanner and while I have not scanned one for this issue as I am very low volume on what I service I have been able to see other body functions on my scanner it seems in the past on various vehicles.

Charlie might norrow it down more than I can tell you.
