My thoughts are that it's not stuck down. The code appeared the morning after a fill up. On the short drive home from the gas station, the gauge read full, so the float wouldn't have been down to get stuck there. Maybe stuck up?

I've replaced the sending unit and I still get the p0463 and dead fuel gauge. When I clear the code the guage goes up to half for a minute. Then the code comes back and the needle drops to empty.
What do I try next? Is it possible I did something wrong? I put the inner fuel line on (which is a much easier quick-disconnect than the external line) plunked it in and buttoned it up. Is there something the float could be caught on, something I didn't prep right on the sender, anything...?

I took a peek under while putting on the winter wheels today. It took me all of 2 seconds to find the fuel pump connection on the side of the tank and see the problem. It was a little tight getting wire strippers in there, but otherwise an easy fix.
