    Why was this said: "Allows removal of black intake cover to reduce heat soak"? I removed that thing without ever touching my heater hoses...

    The heater hoses sit on the fuel rail and the intake. Once you remove the sound cover from the intake for heatsoak issues you wouldnt want the hot heater hoses sitting on the intake. Not to mention it really cleans up how it looks.

    Charlie, will the heater hose melt/become distorted if it touched the intake? If I remove the beauty/noise intake cover does the heater hose mod HAVE to be done.

    I ask because I am planning on doing the intake mod and was going to leave the hoses. If this is going to be a huge issue then the hoses need to be swapped out.
