Sad news to report....Charlie has passed away

I am so sorry to hear this, and hate that I didn't make time to read this thread and post earlier. As my son would say, my belly hurts now. This just has me floored.

I want to thank Charlie (and his family) for all they have done for this community.

I personally have chatted with Charlie a few times, mostly G8 questions, and we found out we both have an interest in bowling as well.

Charlie, you will be missed in so many ways, and your Family (Wendy and Zack) is in my prayers.

As stated before, if there is anything, and I mean anything we can do, please let me know.

I've been missing in action from here for awhile, trying to sell then deciding to keep my G8 then deciding to sell yet again. I had stayed away because I knew I'd be sucked in yet again and keep my car. BUT when I saw on FB that Charlie was battling cancer I had to come back in and say how much I enjoyed seeing his car come together in the early days of having mine. I was always waiting for another video or pics of some new part he had gotten. Charlie was gracious enough to answer a few questions for me during my time on this board, G8 related and not and I thank him for that and for all he has done for the community here. Always kinda likened him to a G8 folk hero I wonder how many people may have done less to their cars or possibly nothing at all without sites like this. I know Charlie wasn't alone in these efforts but he was a huge influence on all of us. IMHO! Cancer is a horrible disease that I wish could be eradicated from the face of the earth! I know several people either battling it now or praying everyday it doesn't return.

Sadden to hear this. My thoughts and prayers for Charlie and his family. He sent me an invite back in '08 to join this forum. I was surprised and happy he did.

I was one of the original crew back when Charlie started this forum, and like many, I had not made the time to check in as often as I would have liked. I was shocked to see a FB post with a recent updated on his condition. Charlie was always willing to offer advice and would help anyone. As many have said, the community is what makes this place great - and Charlie was a huge part of it. I will be praying for the Lord's peace for you and your family.

Fuck cancer. Charlie, you've touched many people's lives and you have a g8 that is the epitome of carefully executed perfection, in suspension, tasteful modding, and most importantly, what's under the hood. You've touched more people than you realize, and this thread and others are a true testament to that. Your expertise in "what makes power" is highly regarded, and the proof are on some of those videos of your car. While I've never met you, we've communicated in this virtual world time and time again, and it saddens me greatly to hear you are suffering. Rest in peace man, you're awesome.

I can't describe how I'm feeling right now. My mind's all over the place. It's racing so fast. I'm sad, angry, sad, angry, sad, angry. That's all that I have. I hate that this happened to one hell of a man. Charlie, I've got nothing but love for you, brother. This hurts. Really really hurts. I'll be thinking about you everyday, Chuck. I will. I'll be thinking why?. That's all I can say about this. I never met you in person, but PM's made me respect, admire and appreciate you.
