Just washed it today after a long trip. Then it rained. But I averaged 23mpg on the trip which was nice. Probably coulda eeked out 25mpg if my foot wasn't so heavy.

I was thinking about doing the same with the front license plate, since I live in Texas. Did you trim the plate down to make it fit?

I used two blocks of wood and then measured the distance needed. It worked out to just below the letters at the bottom and just above the Texas portion. I put the blocks of wood in the vice and clamped one side lower then the other right on the bend line. Grab a hold of the plate and work it down over the wood. Then you can take it out and continue to work it back. Then when both sides were bent backwards some I clamped it again down in between the wood and tightened the hell out of the vice. turned out really nice and there are no rough edges to rub on the plastic. I then measured where to drill the holes and ran zip ties through it. Didn't have any black zip ties but other then that pretty easy and looks good.

Washed and hit it with some Ice yesterday and today it's yellow. The pollen is in the air in the deep south.

UPS delivered my 19" stock GT spare today. Got it cleaned up and put in the car. Just waiting for my spare tire kit from Pace to get here to get that project completed. A catch can will be my next purchase.

My original was showing its age and had wiper blade scratches in it that I could not polish out.
So new glass to the rescue!
